RM Auctions Announces million-dollar consignments for its Monterey Sale
The Portola hotel & spa plays host to RM “Sports and Classics of Monterey” . Rm was delight to unravel the consignment of highly desirable Ferraris entered it the sale. No less than 26 Ferraris will be going under the hammer at the Sport & classics sale on August 13th to the 15th in California.
The RM,S Monterey sale, includes a 1953 Ferrari 166MM Spider Scaglietti with an estimate of $1,400,000 to $1,800,000. the 166MM was given to Dino Ferrari by his father Enzo as a design project with the Modena coachwork builder Scaglietti, and is known as the first Scaglietti bodied compertition Ferrari . This car holds a wonderful history the car was sold to Chinetti in 1954 and then raced by Danny Collins in Colorado.
The eyes of the world will be watching this Monterey sale as car of this quality are so rarely offered for sale .
