RM Auction Automobilies of London-Preview
It doesn’t seem 12 months since RM held its seconded London sale but, take it from me, it is. 2008 saw one of the greatest Collections of cars selling for over £18 million and, with another superbly presented catalogue, the London office of the Ontario-based auction house has high hopes for 2009.
RM Auctions, in association with Sotheby’s, will hold its third annual Automobiles of London auction on October 28th, 2009 at Battersea Evolution in London.
LONDON, England is building upon the success of their recent record-breaking Ferrari Leggenda e Passione event in Maranello, Italy, RM Auctions, in association with Sotheby’s, will proudly return to England on October 28th for the distinguished Automobiles of London event at Battersea Park.

Over the past three years this stylish event has attracted discerning collectors from around the world, emerging as one of Europe’s leading collector car events for the highest quality automobiles.
This year’s event is set to continue the momentum with seven of the world’s finest Ferrari collector’s cars and Automobilia set to go under the hammer.
Amongst early highlights is a stunning 1967 Ferrari 250 LM Replica bearing chassis no 6167R, this faithful 250 LM Replica was inspired by chassis 6167, which was raced extensively throughout Europe in 1967 and 1968 in fact Richard Atwood took Chassis no 6167 to significant victory in a support race to the July 1967 Silverstone Grand Prix. The Ferrari 250 LM Replica to be sold by RM was built in the early 1990,s from a limited few original LM parts by the experts at Autosport and Bachelli the estimate is between £300,000 to £350,000

Last year, RM sold 69 of 100 cars offered (69% sales rate) for total sales of $24,266,998, buoyed by the 1997 McLaren F1 that brought a record $4,149,200. The average price per car sold was $351,695.
Proudly presented by RM Auctions, in association with Sotheby’s, the Automobiles of London event will be held October 28th, 2009 at Battersea Evolution, London, England. A full day preview will be held October 27th, 2009 from 10.00am – 5.00pm GMT, followed by all the auction action on October 28th from 3.00pm GMT. Admission to the event is by catalog only which is available for £70 and admits two.
