We visited GTO Engineering to hear the voice of an expert. GTO Engineering was established in the early eighties by Mark Lyon as a specialist sub contractor working for some of the most prestigious Ferrari dealers and specialists. By the late eighties, Mark formed a partnership with his wife Rosie and set up their own small workshop in Northwood Middlesex UK. After several years, GTO moved to larger premises in central Harrow, Middlesex Uk and began to recruit staff, the first being Mark's old friend and colleague Kevin Jones, known to many event and race-goers. The business blossomed and grew, the parts operation was formed and GTO were offered the wonderful opportunity to buy Tony Merrick’s business operation in rural Berkshire set in beautifully renovated historic farm buildings, within easy reach of London's west end and Heathrow airport .

There reputation has resulted in restorations being carried out for some of the most meticulous collectors around the world. The stunning historic buildings house the impressive service facility, designed for all things Ferrari. Features include a purposeful designed restoration and race preparation bays, a machine shop, specialist parts manufacturing centre and a truly breath taking engine shop.



With experience and expertise to restore and prepare every Ferrari model from a 166 Inter to a 365GTB4 Daytona and beyond, with particular speciality being the 250GT series road and competition cars. GTO would be delighted to assist, and you can rest assured the finished article will be finished to perfection.

Not only do GTO restore and service classic Ferrari, they also supply parts, to the extent that they manufacture a wide range for classic Ferraris which include crankshafts, conrods, pistons, engine blocks and gearbox, axle and suspension components. If you need a part that is unobtainable, they will manufacture it for you. The GTO parts department is an Aladdin’s cave of hard-to-find Ferrari parts. They hold large stocks of OEM classic parts, and in addition can manufacture their own, where originals are no longer available. As an example, GTO can offer customers, complete re-manufactured rear axle for the 250 series with a choice of ratios, along with many suspensions, electrical and transmission components,



Over the last 30 years Mark Lyon and GTO have designed and researched the development of all the parts necessary to build a brand-new 250 GT engine!
